Celine Paquay incorporates colonial archive photos into contemporary Belgian landscapes

The  exhibition "Inter-dependence" by Céline Paquay links the past and the  present, the relationship between Belgium and the Congo while trying to  change the political-media paradigm to highlight what colonization has  brought to Belgium and the inequalities that result from this history.

Her  artistic career began with theater and visual arts.  She obtained a master's degree in Plastic and Visual Arts at the ERG  in 2004 and an Aggregation of Higher Secondary Education at the Academy of Fine  Arts in Brussels in 2005. Today, her practice includes performance, writing and photography. She is the founder of Kosmix asbl.
